Sony is reportedly planning to develop a movie download service for its PSP handheld gaming console that would compete in some ways with Apple Computer’s iTunes service. However, like iTunes, Sony’s service would be device-specific. While Apple aims its music and video download service at the iPod, Sony’s service would be oriented toward the PSP (PlayStation Portable).
